1 Killed, 7 Injured in Pala Crash on State Route 76 at Magee Road
PALA, CA (May 29, 2023) – A crash killed at least one person and injured several others on State Route 76 and Magee Road in Pala.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune and NBC San Diego, the tragic accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck on May 29 at around 9:10 p.m.
The incident happened when multiple cars collided for an unknown reason in the rural area of Pala east of Fallbrook. The vehicles crashed on State Route 76 at Magee Road.
Multiple Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol described two of the cars involved as a sedan and an SUV. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and confirmed that one individual died.
A total of seven people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel provided treatment to the patients for the unspecified injuries they sustained upon impact.
The names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of State Route 76 to shut down for hours near Magee following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Pala crash is still under investigation.
