2 Riders Injured in Pala Crash on Highway 76 Near Magee Road
PALA, CA (January 30, 2022) – Two riders were injured after a motorcycle crash on Highway 76 near Magee Road in Pala.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place late Sunday morning. Officers reported the accident at about 11:20 a.m.
According to CHP, a blue Honda CRV and the two people riding the motorcycle collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on Highway 76 near Magee Road.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the female passenger in the bushes with leg injuries and the operator who ended up with a foot injury.
One of them sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took both patients to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck.
Officers forced a stretch of Highway 76 to shut down near Magee after the wreck. The cause of the Pala crash is still under investigation.
