3 Injured in Palm Desert Crash on Interstate 10 Near Washington Street

PALM DESERT, CA (April 16, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash on the Interstate 10 near Washington Street in Palm Desert.

According to the KESQ News and My News LA, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck on April 16 shortly before 8 a.m.

The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Palm Desert. The cars crashed on the eastbound side of the Interstate 10 near Washington Street.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

Firefighters soon arrived at the scene and freed one trapped occupant from the wreckage. They found a total of three people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Paramedics then rushed two of the victims to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Medical personnel at the site provided treatment to the third patient who then refused further aid.

The reports did not release the names of all the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Palm Desert crash is still under investigation.

Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 10 to shut down near Washington following the wreck.
