1 Injured in Palm Springs Hit-and-Run at 16th Avenue and Indian Canyon Drive
PALM SPRINGS, CA (August 29, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at 16th Avenue and North Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place late Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:18 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Palm Springs. They crashed at the intersection of 16th Avenue and North Indian Canyon Drive.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a brown Jeep Liberty and a Toyota sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Dillon Road.
Medical personnel found a female occupant who complained of pain to her neck and head as a result of the collision. They treated her for the minor injuries she sustained in the accident.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a male driver abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers forced the area of 16th Avenue and Indian Canyon to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Palm Springs hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
