Pedestrian Critically injured in Palm Springs Crash on East Palm Canyon Drive
PALM SPRINGS, CA (March 4, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on East Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.
According to The Desert Sun and KESQ News, the accident took place late Friday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 11 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Palm Springs. The driver hit the person in the 3700 block of East Palm Canyon Drive near Cherokee Way.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Oasis Resort. They found the victim who sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police said the motorist stopped after hitting the victim and cooperated with the officials. Officers forced a stretch of East Palm Canyon Drive to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Palm Springs pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
