Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Palmdale Crash on Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road
PALMDALE, CA (April 23, 2022) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road in Palmdale.
According to an article published by My News LA, the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:54 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided in the city of Palmdale for an unknown reason.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
The two crashed on Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road at Mile Marker 2.5 in the Angeles National Forest. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance then took the patient to a trauma center for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stayed following the wreck.
Officers forced a stretch of Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road to shut down after the incident. The cause of the Palmdale crash is still under investigation.
