Paola Pallares, 33, Killed in Friant Hit-and-Run Crash on Millerton Road

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 30, 2021) – Paola Pallares was killed a hit-and-run crash on Millerton Road near a casino in Friant.

The coroner’s office identified the 33-year-old Fresno woman as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred on Wednesday night.

The incident happened when Paola Pallares was walking westbound on Millerton Road near the Table Mountain Casino in Friant.

The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck her for an unknown reason. The driver hit the pedestrian, a half mile east of Winchell Cover Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found her left lying on the ground. Paola Pallares died at the scene of the Friant crash.

The Fresno Bee and Your Central Valley wrote that the accident took place on July 28 at about 10:30 p.m. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and then fled the area.

Officers forced a portion of Millerton Road to shut down for about two hours following the accident. The Friant hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
