Pedestrian Killed in Pasadena Crash Near Orange Grove and Walnut
PASADENA, CA (February 10, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Orange Grove Boulevard and Walnut Street in Pasadena.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the collision at around 6:50 p.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was crossing near the intersection of Orange Grove Boulevard and Walnut Street in Pasadena.
Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the man down on the ground.
Man Hit by Unlicensed Driver
He ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital, where he died.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police determined that the 46-year-old Pasadena man driving the car did not have a driver’s license.
They soon took him into custody for driving without a license but later released him. Officers forced the area of Orange Grove and Walnut to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Pasadena crash is still under investigation.
