Pedestrian Paul Nava, 58, Killed in Desert Hot Springs Hit-and-Run Crash
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (August 25, 2022) – Pedestrian Paul Nava was killed after a hit-and-run crash in Desert Hot Springs.
The coroner’s office identified the 58-year-old Desert Hot Springs man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Paul Nava was crossing in the area of Palm Drive and Cahuilla Avenue in Desert Hot Springs. At the same time, a vehicle was going south on Palm.
Driver Hits Man, Flees Scene
For an unknown reason, the driver struck him. The NBC Palm Springs wrote that the collision occurred on August 24 shortly after 8 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim lying on the ground. Paul Nava soon died at the scene of the pedestrian accident.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. They described the car as an SUV.
The cause of the Desert Hot Springs hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 760-329-6411 ext. 372.
