Man Hospitalized After Collision at Shaw and West Avenue Wednesday
Fresno, CA (January 19, 2022) – One person suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Shaw and West Avenue.
According to Your Central Valley, a vehicle struck a male party near the intersection of Shaw and West. Primary reports indicated the pedestrian stepped into the traffic lanes outside of the crosswalk.
Officials said a vehicle heading west on Shaw Avenue drove through the intersection and struck the pedestrian wearing dark clothing. Our sources confirmed the victim suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Shortly after 6 p.m., an ambulance arrived at the site. Paramedics transported the patient to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Pending confirmation, the name of the injured party remained undisclosed.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the pedestrian accident at Shaw and West Avenue.
