Vehicle Hits Man Cutting Weeds Along Nacion Avenue
Chula Vista, CA (March 11, 2023) – A Chula Vista resident suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Nacion Avenue Saturday, March 11.
Officials said a male party as driving a Toyota SUV heading north down the steep hill on Nacion Avenue. According to 911 Video News, the Toyota SUV hydroplaned across the traffic lanes for an unknown reason. Subsequently, the driver attempted to overcorrect his steering after losing control of his vehicle. The incident report mentioned the Toyota SUV spun and went backwards across the street.
In the 934 block of Nacion Avenue, the vehicle struck a resident working outside his house. Authorities said the victim was cutting down weeds in the space between the sidewalk and the curb.
Injury Pedestrian Accident in Chula Vista
Shortly after 7:58 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the resident thrown away from his house. Medical personnel rendered first aid to the victim, then transferred him to a local hospital for further treatment. The name and age of the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
The driver involved in the accident appeared unharmed. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the crash that happened on Nacion Avenue in Chula Vista.
