2 Seriously Injured in Petaluma Crash on Lakeville Highway Near Pine View
PETALUMA, CA (August 8, 2022) – Two were seriously injured after a car crash on Lakeville Highway near Pine View Way in Petaluma.
The incident happened when a Chevrolet Spark was going east on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma. At the same time, a Toyota RAV4 was traveling west.
Police said the Chevrolet crossed over double yellow lines to unlawfully pass another vehicle. In the process, the Spark slammed head-on into the Toyota.
2 Cars Collide
The two cars crashed near the Pine View Way intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed both trapped and unconscious drivers from the wreckage.
The 35-year-old man driving the Chevrolet and the 50-year-old woman in the RAV4 sustained moderate to severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed them to the Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Lakeville Highway to shut down for more than two hours between Pine View and Browns following the wreck. The cause of the Petaluma crash is still under investigation.
