1 Seriously Injured in Petaluma Crash Near Highway 116 and Traca Road
PETALUMA, CA (November 15, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a head-on crash near Highway 116 and Traca Road in Petaluma.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck on November 14 at about 9 p.m.
According to CHP, the two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Petaluma. They crashed on eastbound Highway 116, just east of Traca Road.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a blue Infiniti SUV and a gray Honda Accord. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a baby inside the Honda.
One person ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Petaluma crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 116 to shut down near Traca for more than an hour following the wreck.
