Peter Codella, 65, Suspect in Deadly Road Rage Incident at Pacific and Mountain View Avenue
Oxnard, CA (June 3, 2021) – Police arrested 65-year-old Peter Codella in relation with a deadly hit-and-run crash in the area of Pacific and Mountain View Avenue, the KEYT News reported.
On April 23, Peter Codella was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling at an unknown direction at the Oxnard intersection. Preliminary investigation revealed the man got involved in a verbal altercation with another motorist in the middle of the street. At some point, the other driver stepped out of their car and confronted Peter Codella.
The article published online mentioned Peter Codella allegedly intentionally struck the other driver. Following the crash, the 65-year-old Oxnard man fled the scene before police arrived.

Responding paramedics found the victim with serious injuries. Because of their condition, an ambulance rushed the patient to hospital. The victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and died on May 6.
Investigators later identified the hit-and-run suspect as Peter Codella. Subsequently, police arrested the man with charges of second degree murder.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
