1 Badly Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Phelan Road and Lebec Road
PHELAN, CA (March 4, 2022) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Phelan Road and Lebec Road in Phelan.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:56 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Phelan Road and Lebec Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described one of the cars as a white Ford Focus. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who needed to be undergo partial for amputation as a result of the collision. They rushed the patient to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced the corner of Phelan and Lebec roads to shut down following the hit-and-run crash. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
