DUI Driver in Nevada City Fatal Crash ID’d as Phillip Thomas Krulisky, 29
NEVADA CITY, CA (April 26, 2021) – Authorities detained Phillip Krulisky after a DUI crash that killed his passenger in Nevada City.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 29-year-old Grass Valley man was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck occurred.
The incident happened on Sunday night when Phillip Thomas Krulisky was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer on Banner Lava Cap Road in Nevada City.
CHP said Phillip Krulisky lost control of the Ford, causing the right front of the car to hit a tree. The Explorer then rolled into an irrigation ditch in the 11000 block of Banner Lava Cap.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and extricated the passenger from the wreckage. The victim, 29-year-old Livermore resident Devin McCune, died at the scene.
According to the article published by The Union, officers reported the accident at around 9 p.m. It took place on April 25, just west of Forest View Drive.
Meanwhile, medical personnel treated Krulisky at the crash site for complaint of body pain. Authorities soon arrested on felony charges of manslaughter and DUI.
They booked the suspect into the Nevada County Jail on a bond of $100,000. Th tragic DUI crash is still under investigation.
