Pinyon crash Highway 74
3 Injured in Pinyon Crash on Highway 74 Near Vista Point
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (October 29, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash on Highway 74 near the Vista Point in Pinyon.
According to the KESQ News and My News LA, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:56 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided in the 71000 block of Highway 74 near milepost 85. They crashed for an unknown reason just below the Vista Point and east of the Pinyon area.
2 Vehicles Collide
Both vehicles obtained major damage due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters soon arrived at the scene and freed one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
The rescued individual sustained major injuries as a result of the accident. An air ambulance then took the victim to a hospital for treatment.
Ground ambulances rushed two more people who ended up with minor injuries. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 74 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Pinyon crash is still under investigation.
