2 Passenger Injured in Traffic Accident Near Wadsworth Avenue Saturday
Pismo Beach, CA (January 16, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash on Highway 101, the KSBY News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 55-year-old Santa Maria woman was driving a Honda Accord heading south on Highway 101. When the motorist approached the area near Wadsworth Avenue, she apparently lost control and drifted to the direction of the center median.
According to the article published online, the Honda Accord ended up crashing into the guardrail. The car continued and drove down the embankment before slamming into a tree.
The force from the impact resulted in significant damage to the vehicle. Shortly after 9:15 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics attended to two passengers found with moderate to major injuries. Personal information on the victims have not been discussed thus far.

Meanwhile, police reportedly arrested the driver after they showed signs of being under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident. Further investigation is ongoing on the car crash on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach.
