Major Injury Collision on 80 Freeway Saturday
Placer County, CA (November 6, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 80 Freeway in Emigrant Gap.
On Saturday, two vehicles collided in the eastbound side of the freeway near Old Nyack Road offramp. Officials said they found at the scene a blue GMC pickup truck hauling a boat. Meanwhile, the description of the other automobile involved in the crash remained unknown.

Emergency teams arrived at the site shortly after 4:08 p.m. Paramedics reportedly rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the incident. The name and age of the injured party have not been revealed thus far.
The CHP log mentioned a tow truck was called to the scene to recover a vehicle. Authorities said the car drove approximately 15 feet off the roadway.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident on Interstate 80 in Placer County.
