Motorcyclist, 45, Killed in Placer County Head-On Crash on Foresthill Road

PLACER COUNTY, CA (April 5, 2022) – A head-on crash killed a motorcyclist on Foresthill Road in Placer County.

According to The Sacramento Bee and ABC 10 News, the fatal accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on April 3 at around 3:30 p.m.

The incident happened when a 45-year-old Foresthill man was riding a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Foresthill Road in Placer County.

At the same time, a blue Hyundai Sonata was going west. Its driver, 47-year-old Robert Williams, crossed over double-yellow lines into the eastbound lane for an unknown reason.

The California Highway Patrol said in the process, the Sacramento man struck the rider head-on. The two crashed east of Drivers Flat Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

CHP added that Robert Williams sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took him to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment.

Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Foresthill Road to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the Placer County crash is still under investigation.
