Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Placerville Crash on Highway 50 Near Greenstone
PLACERVILLE, CA (November 1, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 50 near Greenstone Road in Placerville.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:12 a.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and a silver Audi collided for an unknown reason in Placerville. The two crashed on the eastbound Highway 50 near the Greenstone Road off-ramp.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. The cause of the Placerville crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 to shut down near Greenstone after the incident.
