Major Injury Collision on Highway 50 Wednesday
Placerville, CA (December 3, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Highway 50 and Ponderosa Road.
The Mountain Democrat News reported a 2015 Mercedes struck a male party walking in the westbound side of the highway. According to the article published online, the horrible crash took place east of Ponderosa Road.

Shortly after 10:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. First responders found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, then transferred him to C. Davis Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation.
Authorities identified the driver of the Mercedes as a 66-year-old Folsom man. The motorist appeared unharmed after the incident.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the pedestrian accident on Highway 50 in Placerville.
