1 Injured in Planada Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 140 Near Sutter Street
PLANADA, CA (March 13, 2022) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 140 near Sutter Street in Planada.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place late Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck occurred at about 5:38 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Planada. They crashed on Highway 140 near the intersection with Sutter Street.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a passenger in one car who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Mercy Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Highway 140 to shut down near Sutter following the wreck.
The cause of the Planada hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
