1 Killed in Plymouth Crash on Highway 16 Near Latrobe Road
PLYMOUTH, CA (November 6, 2021) – A car crash killed at least one person on Highway 16 near Latrobe Road in Plymouth.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic wreck took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 4:26 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Plymouth in Amador County. They crashed on Highway 16, just west of Latrobe Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 49. They confirmed that one occupant died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. The report did not mention if any other party ended up hurt due to the impact.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 16 to shut down near Latrobe following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Plymouth crash is still under investigation.
