Port of Long Beach Worker Chulaih Ang Accident Mediterranean Way

Port of Long Beach Worker Chulaih Ang, 64, Killed in Industrial Accident

LONG BEACH, CA (January 23, 2022) – Worker Chulaih Ang was killed in an accident at the Port of Long Beach on Mediterranean Way.

The coroner’s office identified the 64-year-old Carson man as the victim in the fatal incident which took place last week on Saturday.

Officers said for an unknown reason a vehicle struck Chulaih Ang near a container terminal at the Port of Long Beach. The area is located in the 300 block of Mediterranean Way.

Man Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the employee lying on the ground. He sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon pronounced the worker dead at the scene. The Press Telegram and NBC Los Angeles wrote that the accident occurred on January 15 at around 3:45 p.m.

Officials of Port of Long Beach did not mention what type of vehicle hit Chulaih Ang at the time. The cause of the industrial incident is still under investigation.
