Pedestrian Killed in Porterville Crash on Springville Avenue Near Conner
PORTERVILLE, CA (September 10, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian along East Springville Avenue in Porterville.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision at around 9:13 p.m.
CHP said the incident happened when a red Lincoln MKX struck a male pedestrian in the city of Porterville. The car hit him at 1391 East Springville Avenue.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near Conner Street. They then found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver of the Lincoln pulled over following the incident. The car ended up with a broken windshield after hitting the victim.
Officers forced a stretch of Springville Avenue to shut down for a time after the collision. The cause of the fatal Porterville pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
