3 Hospitalized After Collision at Poway and Community Road Thursday
Poway, CA (November 11, 2021) – Multiple people, including two children, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Poway and Community Road.
Auto vs. Sheriff’s Vehicle in Poway, November 11
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported a Nissan Rouge collided with a sheriff’s vehicle at the busy intersection in Poway Thursday. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the crash.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. First responders found the five children, all below the age of 10, in the Nissan Rogue. Paramedics immediately checked the conditions of the juveniles, and the 28-year-old female driver. After the evaluation, officials decided to transport the injured driver to Sharp Memorial Hospital. In addition, two children were also taken to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment. The conditions of the other juveniles remained unknown.
The deputies appeared unharmed after the collision.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the car accident at Poway and Community Road.
