4 Injured After Car Plows Into Home Along Taft Highway
Bakersfield, CA (September 14, 2022) – Princedeep Joshan, Rajwinder Joshan and two others suffered injuries following a suspected DUI collision that occurred on Taft Highway.
Your Central Valley published an article online reporting an allegedly drunk driver traveling on the highway early Wednesday morning. When the suspect approached the intersection of Old River Road and Taft Highway, the driver veered off the roadway and plowed through a home.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location and found the ceiling of the house crashed down the floor. First responders checked the conditions of the family inside the residential building. Per local news source, as many as four people sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Authorities identified the victims as 25-year-old Princedeep Joshan; 25-year-old Rajwinder Joshan; 61-year-old Balwinder Joshan; and a 21-month-old boy.
Toddler Hospitalized After Major Accident in Bakersfield
Officials said the toddler suffered a fractured skull, broken arm, and other internal injuries.
After police determined the driver was intoxicated, they arrested the man. Officers booked the suspect into Kern County Jail on felony driving under the influence charges.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
