2 Injured in Rancho Cucamonga Crash on 210 Freeway Near Archibald
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (October 9, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on the 210 Freeway near Archibald Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:31 p.m.
CHP determined that a red Chevrolet Camaro and four other vehicles collided in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. All five crashed for an unknown reason on the eastbound 210 Freeway, just west of Archibald Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage. A total of two people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took one patient to the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment. They then rushed the other victim to the San Antonio Regional Hospital.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and the extent of their injuries. Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway to shut down near Archibald following the wreck.
The cause of the Rancho Cucamonga crash is still under investigation.
