Bicycle Rider Killed in Rancho Cucamonga near Rochester and Victoria Park
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (October 9, 2022) – A crash killed a bicycle rider near Rochester Avenue and Victoria Park Lane in Rancho Cucamonga.
According to an article published by the Fontana Herald News, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 5:44 p.m.
The incident happened on October 4 when a man was riding a bicycle west on Victoria Park Lane toward Rochester Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga.
At the same time, a vehicle was going north on Rochester. The sheriff’s department said the bicyclist then made a right turn onto Rochester.
Man Hit by Vehicle
In the process, the driver struck the cyclist. Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital, where he soon died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Rochester and Victoria Park to shut down for a time after the collision.
