Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Wyndham Lane
Redding, CA (August 24, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Tuesday evening on Highway 273, the Record Searchlight News reported.
Authorities said a vehicle struck an individual in the southbound side of SR-273 just south of Wyndham Lane. The horrible crash took place at approximately 11:30 p.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found a man trapped underneath a 2008 Buick sedan. Firefighters worked extensively to pull out the victim. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. At this time, they continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Highway 273 near Wyndham Lane in Redding.
