Deputy Hospitalized After Collision Near Hilltop Drive Thursday
Redding, CA (December 2, 2021) – A Shasta County Sheriff’s police officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Lake Boulevard.

The Action News Now reported a patrol vehicle and two other cars collided near Hilltop Drive in Redding. Preliminary investigation revealed the 2018 F150 was heading west on Lake Boulevard, and the patrol vehicle was just behind it. According to the article published online, the 2018 F150 made an abrupt left turn and crossed a raised concrete center divider to enter a parking lot. In the process, a 2003 F150 heading east on Lake Boulevard reportedly tried to avoid collision and careened to the left side of the roadway.
Our sources indicated the 2003 F150 and the 2018 F150 hit each other. The force from the impact caused one vehicle to spin uncontrollably and crashed into the patrol vehicle.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to all possible victims. Authorities confirmed the deputy suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. Paramedics transported the patient to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Further investigation on the car accident on Lake Boulevard in Redding is ongoing.
