Richard Avidano, 69, Killed in Hollister Crash at Frazier Lake and Shore Roads
HOLLISTER, CA (September 30, 2022) – Richard Avidano was killed after a crash at Frazier Lake and Shore roads in Hollister.
The coroner’s office identified the 69-year-old Hollister man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Thursday.
The incident happened when Richard Avidano was riding a motorcycle south on Frazier Lake Road, approaching Shore Road, in Hollister.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
For an unknown reason, a car turning off the road then struck him at the intersection. A California Highway Patrol dispatch described the vehicle as a Jeep Cherokee.
The Jeep obtained major side end damage due to the impact of the collision. The KION News wrote that the accident occurred on September 29 at about 4:12 p.m.
Richard Avidano died at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, officers added that the driver of the car declined medical attention.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Frazier Lake and Shore roads to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the Hollister crash is still under investigation.
