Child Hospitalized After Collision on Eastshore Freeway Thursday
Richmond, CA (September 6, 2021) – On September 2, Thursday, a car accident occurred on Interstate 80 Freeway near El Portal Drive.
The California Highway Patrol group reported multiple vehicles collided on the westbound lanes of I-80, also known as Eastshore Freeway. Authorities described some cars involved in the wreck as a red Ford Bronco and a gray vehicle. Meanwhile, the make and model of the other cars found at the scene have not been revealed thus far.

Shortly after 11:38 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. First responders found an infant with injuries to their head. Paramedics rushed the infant to a Oakland Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Authorities added another person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim, and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.
At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the car accident in Richmond.
