6 Hospitalized After Collision in Bay Area
Rio Linda, CA (September 16, 2022) – Several people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Dry Creek Road and Elkhorn Boulevard.
According to KCRA3 News, the California Highway Patrol group responded to the intersection due to reports of a sideshow in the east Bay Area
Officials arrived at the location shortly after 9:11 p.m. First responders found as many as a hundred vehicles and people blocking the crossing of Eleverta Road at Dutch Haven Boulevard.
The article published online mentioned authorities attempted to pull over a Honda Accord. For reasons still unclear, the driver of the Honda failed to yield and sped off.
In an attempted to evade the police, the Honda driver ran a red light. The car crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Dry Creek Road and Elkhorn Boulevard.
Major Injury Car Accident at Dry Creek Road and Elkhorn Boulevard
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they found a pregnant woman and five others suffering injuries. Paramedics rushed the five patients to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Pending confirmation, the names of the people hurt in the crash remained undisclosed.
Our sources indicated the unborn child of the pregnant woman sadly died in the collision.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, investigators continue to gather information on the deadly accident that happened at Dry Creek Road and Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda.
