Cyclist Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Elkhorn Boulevard and Elkhorn Manor Drive Saturday
Rio Linda, CA (February 13, 2022) – On February 12, a suspected hit-and-run collision occurred in the area of Elkhorn Boulevard and Elkhorn Manor Drive.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a sedan struck a man riding a bicycle at the junction in Rio Linda. Officials said the crash took place shortly before 7 p.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the accident scene, they found the cyclist holding his arm and standing on the right-hand shoulder of the roadway. Paramedics immediately attended to the victim. At this time, it remained unclear whether the injured bicyclist was transported to the hospital or released at the site.
Authorities later mentioned the driver of the car, possibly a Lexus sedan, fled the scene after the collision. Given that, detectives continue to gather details to identify the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation is ongoing on the pedestrian accident on Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda.
