Juvenile Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Elkhorn and Rio Linda Boulevards
RIO LINDA, CA (November 11, 2021) – A juvenile was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Elkhorn Boulevard and Rio Linda Boulevard.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the incident took place on Thursday afternoon. According to their report, the accident occurred at about 3:49 p.m.
CHP determined that a vehicle struck the juvenile in Rio Linda. The driver hit the victim for an unknown reason at the intersection of Elkhorn and Rio Linda boulevards.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the McDonald’s restaurant. They found the child hurt on the sidewalk as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not release the condition of the wounded party.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection to close following the collision.
The cause of the Rio Linda hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
