Man Hospitalized After Crash on Hwy 160
RIO VISTA, Calif. (May 15, 2023) — One person was critically injured Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 160, just south of the Rio Vista bridge, according to the Rio Vista Fire Department.
The drivers of a silver Toyota and a second vehicle collided around 10:41 a.m. just south of Highway 12, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch. The accident occurred between Solano and Sacramento counties.
Firefighters removed the driver of one of the vehicles with life-threatening injuries. A medical helicopter landed on the highway and transported him to a trauma center.
Meanwhile, four other people were treated on scene for minor injuries, but were not taken to a hospital.
The cause of the Rio Vista crash on Highway 160 will be determined following a full investigation by the Rio Vista Police Department.
