1 Seriously Injured in Ripon Crash on Austin Road Near Moncure
RIPON, CA (February 13, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Austin Road in Ripon.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the accident at about 6:11 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on South Austin Road near the intersection with Moncure Road in Ripon.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log added that one of the cars involved rolled over, landed on its roof and obtained major damage. The other plowed into an orchard nearby.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Melton Road. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Austin to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Ripon crash is still under investigation.
