1 Seriously Injured in Riverside Crash on Westbound 60 Freeway at Main Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (September 18, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the 60 Freeway and Main Street in Riverside.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:55 p.m.
According to CHP, a black Dodge Charger and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the city of Riverside. The two crashed on the westbound 60 Freeway at Main Street.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log added that the Dodge Charger obtained a broken front axle upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound 60 Freeway to shut down at Main Street following the wreck.
The cause of the Riverside crash is still under investigation.
