Motorist Killed in Collision Near Winstrom Street
Riverside, CA (January 30, 2023) – At least one person died following a traffic accident that occurred on Railroad Avenue Monday, January 30.
The Press Enterprise News reported a gray sedan was heading west on Railroad Avenue. When the car approached the 7500 block of the avenue near Winstrom Street, the driver was not able to slow down and slammed into the back of a parked city trash truck.
Deadly Car Accident on Railroad Avenue in Riverside
Shortly after 2:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the driver of the gray sedan unconscious. Despite life-saving efforts performed by medical personnel, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 58-year-old Riverside resident.
The operator of the trash truck appeared unharmed after the wreck.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly traffic accident that happened on Railroad Avenue in Riverside.
