Pedestrian Killed in Riverside Bus Stop Crash Near La Sierra and King Ranch
RIVERSIDE, CA (June 24, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at a Riverside bus stop near La Sierra Avenue and King Ranch Road.
According to an article published by The Daily Bulletin, the tragic accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10 a.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was seated at the Riverside Transit Agency bus stop. At the same time, a 2015 Honda Civic was going south on La Sierra Avenue near King Ranch Road.
For an unknown reason, the car spun out of control near the intersection. Police said the Honda jumped the curb and in the process, struck the man.
Car Hits Man at Bus Stop
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim who ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision. He soon died at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police added that the 25-year-old Riverside man driving the Civic did not sustain any wound following the wreck.
Officers forced the area of La Sierra and King Ranch to shut down near the bus stop after the incident. The cause of the fatal Riverside pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
