Teenager Arrested After Police Chase Ends at Pierce Street and 91 Freeway Friday
Riverside, CA (February 5, 2022) – At least one officer suffered injuries following a pursuit that ended at the intersection of Pierce Street and 91 Freeway on February 4, Friday.
The Press Enterprise News reported officers spotted a stolen car driving in the area of Ontario and Rimpau avenues. Police attempted to pullover the driver but the 17-year-old man behind the wheel of the stolen car did not slow down. For this reason, officers launched a pursuit.

According to the article published online, the suspect fled and went into a shopping center parking lot at Fullerton and Ontario avenues. Our sources indicated the stolen vehicle ended up hitting a parked car and the front end of a patrol vehicle.
The suspect continued driving. In the process, he struck at least two innocent bystanders’ cars and another patrol vehicle. Our sources indicated the chase came at Pierce Street and the 91 Freeway. Authorities reportedly used a PIT maneuver.
Medical personnel later mentioned one officer sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The name of the victim, and the extent of their trauma have not been discussed thus far.
Meanwhile, police reportedly arrested the 17-year-old driving the stolen vehicle on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon; willfully resisting a police officer; and causing injury and possession of a stolen vehicle.
