Robert Crawford, 60, Killed in Venice Hit-and-Run on Lincoln Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 15, 2021) – Robert Crawford was killed after a hit-and-run crash along Lincoln Boulevard in the Venice neighborhood.
Police identified the 60-year-old Venice man as the victim of the fatal pedestrian accident which occurred on January 17.
The incident happened when Robert Crawford was crossing Lincoln Boulevard, south of Flower Court, in Venice. At the same time, a vehicle was going north.
Police said for an unknown reason, the driver then struck Robert Crawford. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found him left lying on the ground.
Minivan Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
The pedestrian suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital, where he died on January 26.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to Crawford and fled the area. Officers described the vehicle as a dark-colored minivan.
According to reports by My News LA and the Patch, the tragic hit-and-run crash took place at about 5:50 p.m. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
