Rod Lawley, 54, Killed in Clovis Hit-and-Run on Shaw Avenue
CLOVIS, CA (June 11, 2021) – Rod Lawley was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Shaw Avenue and Peach Avenue in Clovis.
The coroner’s office identified the 54-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Thursday night. They added that his identification described him as both Fresno and Clovis residents.
Clovis police said a vehicle struck Rod Lawley for an unknown reason. The driver involved hit him on westbound Shaw Avenue, just west of Peach Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found Rod Lawley left lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon rushed to a hospital, where he later died. Kern Golden Empire and Your Central News Valley wrote that the accident occurred on June 10 shortly after 10 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They are still searching for the suspect. The Clovis hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
