Pedestrian Hurt in Rodeo Hit-and-Run Crash at Mariposa and California
RODEO, CA (January 13, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Mariposa Avenue and California Street in Rodeo.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place in the evening of Thursday. Officers reported the collision at about 7:15 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the area of Rodeo. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Mariposa Avenue and California Street.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near San Pablo Avenue. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision
Medical personnel treated the patient for the injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver did not stop to help the victim and then fled the site. Officers forced the corner of Mariposa and California to shut down for a time following the crash.
The cause of the Rodeo hit-and-run is still under investigation.
