Man Fatally Struck by Vehicles Near Rosedale Highway
Rosedale, CA (December 2, 2022) – A 67-year-old man died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Heath Road, the Bakersfield Now News reported.
Officials said the male party was walking along Heath Road Friday morning. For reasons still unclear, a passing vehicle struck the pedestrian. Our sources mentioned the victim ended up sitting in the roadway, and ended up being hit by a second car.
The catastrophic incident took place in the area between Rosedale Highway and Clarisse Street.
Pedestrian Killed in Rosedale Accident on Heath Road
Shortly after 4:10 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. First responders immediately performed CPR to the victim. Despite resuscitation efforts performed by paramedics, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The California Highway Patrol said the two drivers involved in the unfortunate event stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident on Heath Road in Rosedale.
