3 Injured in Sacramento Crash on Interstate 80 Near Truxel Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 13, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a crash on the Interstate 80 and Truxel Road in Sacramento.
The Sacramento Fire Department first logged the accident on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:05 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento. They crashed on the eastbound Interstate 80, just west of Truxel Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Both vehicles caught fire due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of three people hurt.
The patients sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed all three of them to the hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 80 to shut down near Truxel Road following the wreck.
