4 Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash on Interstate 80 Near Watt
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 19, 2022) – Several were seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 80 near Watt Avenue in Sacramento.
According to an article published by the CBS Sacramento, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:30 a.m.
The incident began when a vehicle was going west on the Interstate 80, west of Watt Avenue, in North Sacramento. For an unknown reason, the driver slammed into the center divider.
2 Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol said another car came around the curve and then collided with the first vehicle. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found a total of four people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They rushed the patients to the hospital for treatment of major injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the westbound lanes of the Interstate 80 to shut down for more than an hour and a half near Watt and the Longview off-ramp.
