3 Injured in Sacramento Crash on Franklin Boulevard Near Supermarket
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 10, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on Franklin Boulevard in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on September 8 at about 2:16 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sacramento. They crashed at 6701 Franklin Boulevard between Cuny Avenue and 51st Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars as a gray van and a red colored sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the Chhun’s Supermarket.
Medical personnel found a total of three people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They then took the patients to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Franklin Boulevard to briefly close following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Sacramento crash.
